Government Launches Portal, Amends Bye-Laws to Boost J&K Business.webp

In Jammu and Kashmir, the government has announced amendments to the Unified Building Bye-Laws 2021 and launched the Auto Scrutiny Portal to improve the ease of doing business. An Akashani Jammu correspondent reports that these reforms simplify land use regulations, allow for affordable group housing in industrial zones, and rationalize setback and FAR norms. The new portal, with Auto-DCR technology, enables fully digital and time-bound processing of building permits, integrates changes in land use, and allows self-certification for low-risk buildings. It ensures transparency, real-time tracking, and faster approvals, while promoting energy efficiency and sustainable urban development across the Union Territory.
