
New Delhi, March 24 Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 31.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, 0.2 degrees above normal at Safdarjung, reflecting a gradual increase in daytime temperatures across the city.
In terms of individual stations, the highest maximum temperature was recorded at Ridge at 32.1 degrees Celsius, followed by Ayanagar at 32 degrees Celsius, Safdarjung at 31.7 degrees Celsius, Lodi Road at 31.4 degrees Celsius, and the lowest at Palam at 30.4 degrees Celsius.
For the minimum temperature, Lodi Road recorded the lowest at 16.1 degrees Celsius, followed by Safdarjung at 16.6 degrees Celsius, Ayanagar at 16.7 degrees Celsius, and Ridge at 17.1 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded the highest minimum at 17.4 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall activity was minimal, with only trace precipitation recorded at Safdarjung and Lodhi Road. Ridge received 2 mm of rainfall, while Ayanagar recorded 0.8 mm. No rainfall was recorded at Palam.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Wednesday, with the minimum temperature expected to settle around 17 degrees Celsius and the maximum likely to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the 'moderate' category with an AQI of 192. The air quality is likely to be in the Poor category tomorrow, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System.
According to CPCB standards, an AQI of 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor', and 401-500 'severe'.
