This is a major achievement for indigenous defense manufacturing, as Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) delivered three frontline naval platforms – Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray – to the Indian Navy yesterday. Dunagiri is capable of targeting specific locations with missiles. Sanshodhak will primarily be used for coastal and other area surveys, while Agray is designed to destroy enemy submarines. With these deliveries, GRSE has achieved the milestone of building 118 warships, including 80 that have been delivered to the Indian Navy. Rear Admiral Gautam Marwah and Cmde Shishir Dixit formally accepted the delivery on behalf of the Indian Navy.
