
New Delhi, March 12 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 30 to Rs 10,115 per quintal on Thursday in futures trading, as speculators increased their holdings in response to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 30, or 0.30 percent, at Rs 10,115 per quintal, with an open interest of 54,100 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their positions based on the firm trend in the physical market, leading to the rise in guar gum prices.
