
New Delhi, February 23 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 115 to Rs 10,065 per quintal on Monday in futures trading, as speculators increased their holdings in response to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 115, or 1.16 percent, at Rs 10,065 per quintal, with an open interest of 56,645 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their bets after observing a firm trend in the physical market, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
