
New Delhi, March 5 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 38 to Rs 9,718 per quintal on Thursday in futures trading, as speculators increased their holdings due to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 38, or 0.39%, at Rs 9,718 per quintal, with an open interest of 39,735 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their positions based on the firm trend in the physical market, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
