
New Delhi, March 18 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 71 to Rs 10,085 per quintal on Wednesday in futures trading, as speculators increased their holdings amid strong spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 71, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 10,085 per quintal, with an open interest of 61,480 lots.
It closed at Rs 10,014 per quintal in the previous session.
Analysts said that traders increased their bets following a firm trend in the physical market, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
