
New Delhi, March 16 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 56 to Rs 10,014 per quintal in futures trading on Monday, as speculators increased their holdings in response to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 56, or 0.56 percent, at Rs 10,014 per quintal, with an open interest of 56,895 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their positions based on the strong physical market trend, which led to an increase in guar gum prices.
