
New Delhi, March 9 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 172 to Rs 9,758 per quintal in futures trading on Monday, as speculators increased their holdings in response to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 172, or 1.76%, at Rs 9,758 per quintal, with an open interest of 39,735 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their positions based on the firm trend in the physical market, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
