
New Delhi, April 2 Guar gum prices rose by Rs 3 to Rs 10,863 per quintal on Thursday in futures trading, as speculators increased their holdings in response to strong demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for May delivery rose by Rs 3, or 0.03 percent, to Rs 10,863 per quintal, with an open interest of 38,775 lots.
Analysts said that traders increased their positions based on a strong physical market trend, which led to an increase in guar gum prices.
