New Delhi, March 12 Guar seed prices rose by Rs 8 to Rs 5,487 per quintal on Thursday in futures trading, driven by increased investment activity.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for April delivery increased by Rs 8, or 0.15 percent, to Rs 5,487 per quintal, with an open interest of 49,240 lots.
Market analysts said that despite a fall in spot prices, increased investment activity supported guar seed prices in futures trading.
