New Delhi, March 27 Guar seed prices rose by Rs 17 to Rs 5,553 per quintal in futures trading on Friday, driven by increased investment activity.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for April delivery increased by Rs 17, or 0.31%, to Rs 5,553 per quintal, with an open interest of 39,550 lots. This was up from the previous session's closing price of Rs 5,536 per quintal.
Market participants said that despite a decline in spot prices, increased investment activity supported guar seed prices in futures trading.
