Ahmedabad, April 10 Vantara, the wildlife conservation organization founded by Reliance Industries, announced on Friday that it would launch Vantara University in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The university, run by Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani, will be a globally integrated university dedicated to wildlife conservation and veterinary sciences, according to a statement by the company.

Drawing on Vantara's on-the-ground expertise, the university will translate field knowledge into academic programs, professional training, and globally relevant frameworks, it added.

"The future of conservation will depend on how we prepare minds and institutions to serve life with compassion, knowledge, and skill. Vantara University is shaped by a deeply personal journey of witnessing animals in distress and recognizing the need for greater capability in their care," Anant Ambani was quoted as saying at the university's launch ceremony held in Jamnagar.
