Gulabgarh Visit: Police Review Security Measures.webp

The Reasi District Police has instructed officers to maintain strict surveillance on Over Ground Workers (OGWs), strengthen cooperation between the police and the public, and closely monitor weather-related migratory movements that could affect the security environment.

These instructions were issued during a visit to Gulabgarh by Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Paramvir Singh, who was accompanied by Additional SP Iftkhar Ahmed, SDPO Mahore Parul Bhardwaj, and DySP PC Mahore–Chassana Azer Ali Shah.

During the visit, the officers conducted a thorough inspection of the remote and terrain-sensitive area to assess the prevailing security situation and enhance operational preparedness.

A public interaction meeting was also held in Gulabgarh, attended by local residents, religious scholars, and other prominent citizens. The SSP patiently listened to the concerns raised by the locals and assured them that the police would provide all possible assistance. He urged residents to remain vigilant and share timely information to help maintain peace and security in the region.

The SSP also met members of the Village Defence Guards in the presence of officials from the Indian Army, emphasizing the need for close coordination between the police, VDGs, and the Army to ensure effective area control and timely intelligence sharing.

He further inspected the infrastructure and reviewed the availability of arms, ammunition, and other equipment with police personnel deployed in the area.

Considering the challenging terrain and security sensitivities of the region, the SSP stressed the need for regular mock drills, long-range patrols, and Cordon and Search Operations (CASO) to maintain high operational readiness. Officials said the district police remain committed to ensuring peace and security for all citizens.
