Feb 23, Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Sunday evening inaugurated the sixth edition of Khelo India at a ceremony held in Gulmarg, considered the winter capital of India.
Jammu and Kashmir Sports Minister Satish Sharma and other dignitaries were present at the event.
The ceremony featured a series of demonstrations, including a torch ski display and cultural performances. A drone show, laser show, and other performances were also presented. The torch ski event was formally inaugurated by Sinha.
The Khelo India competitions are scheduled to begin early Monday morning in Gulmarg.
Nearly 400 athletes from across the country are expected to participate in the competitions, marking another chapter in the history of winter games in Gulmarg.
