
New Delhi, March 31 Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta asserted a "zero tolerance" policy towards corruption in Delhi following the arrest of an MCD deputy commissioner by the CBI on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh.
In a post on X, Gupta stated that strict action would be taken without any exceptions or protection.
"We are committed to clean and transparent governance," she added.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) earlier in the day arrested Abhish Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of the North Shahdara zone under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), for allegedly accepting a bribe.
According to officials, the CBI arrested Mishra after receiving information that he had demanded the bribe.
