Special train brings tea workers to Guwahati for land title distribution
Ahead of the land title distribution program in Guwahati by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approximately 800 members of tea garden worker families were brought from Dibrugarh by a special train named "Chameli Express."
The special train service was arranged by the state government to facilitate the workers' participation in the event. The train was flagged off by Lahowal MLA Binod Hazarika, Duliajan MLA Terash Gowala, and District Commissioner Bikram Kairi.
The tea garden workers have welcomed the government's decision to grant land titles and have expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the initiative.
