
Vice-President of Guyana, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, met with Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan at the Vice President's residence in New Delhi today. In a social media post, Mr. Radhakrishnan stated that during their meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen India-Guyana ties across various sectors. Highlighting Guyana's rapid progress in digital governance and financial inclusion through UPI, Dr. Jagdeo discussed the possibility of extending similar models to Guyana.
The Guyanese delegation also expressed interest in India's e-Migrate platform and the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. Mr. Radhakrishnan noted that they also explored cooperation in healthcare administration, agricultural research, and enhancing connectivity and logistics between the two countries. Potential partnerships in IT, the Blue Economy, energy, space, defense, education, biodiversity, and climate action were also discussed.
