Women sanitation workers were honored on International Women's Day in Haflong.
International Women's Day was observed in Haflong, in the Dima Hasao district of Assam, along with the rest of the country, on Sunday.
On this occasion, Haflong Municipal Board Chairperson Ripa Hojai felicitated the women sanitation workers of the town in recognition of their service. In her address, she highlighted various initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare and empowerment of women.
Members of the Municipal Board and sanitation workers also shared their views during the event.
