
Guwahati, February 25 Police seized approximately Rs 5 crore worth of banned 'Yaba' tablets, and four individuals were arrested in Hailakandi district of Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
'Yaba' tablets, also known as 'crazy medicine', are a highly addictive drug containing a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine.
"The @HailakandiPolice have achieved a significant success. 1.21 lakh 'Yaba' tablets worth Rs 5 cr were seized, along with 3,500 bottles of cough syrup," Sarma said in a post on X.
During the operation, police also arrested four individuals involved in the drug trade, he added.
