Major Drug Seizure in Hailakandi, One Arrested
The Assam Police in the Hailakandi district have achieved another major success in their ongoing crackdown on drugs.
A special team from the Lala Police Station conducted an operation late on Sunday night in the Lalachhera area and arrested a man identified as Abdul Gani Laskar along with a consignment of drugs.
According to police sources, the seized drugs are estimated to have a market value of around ₹40 lakh. Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the contraband and any possible links to a wider drug network.
The police have stated that such anti-drug operations will continue across the district as part of efforts to curb drug trafficking.
