Los Angeles, April 5 – Hollywood actress Halle Bailey is embracing her new role as a mother, and she's loving every moment. The 26-year-old star of "You, Me & Tuscany" recently spoke about her journey to and through motherhood.

She described the supportive community that surrounds her as she raises her 2-year-old son, Halo, according to "People" magazine.

She told "People", "I think after having my baby, I realized, 'I'm a grown-up now'. He has made me more confident and sure of myself. 'Stronger' is my word for this year".

The actress has been a protective mother to her son, who she shares with ex-partner DDG, since before his birth.

According to "People", she chose not to confirm her pregnancy or Halo's birth until she was ready, later explaining in a tearful speech at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood honors in 2024, "Halo is my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that intense spotlight. These days, the tot occasionally appears on his mom's social media. "It's very surreal to have a whole person growing inside you, and now to see them running around and being their own person. I cry every day. I'm just so obsessed".

She's not the only one. As a single mother following her split from DDG, the actress credits her close-knit support system, including her older sister Chloe, for helping her raise Halo while she maintains a busy Hollywood career.

She said, "You don't do it alone. I'm grateful that I have strong women in my life who support me and lift me up. It's a community".

She continued, "Especially when you're trying to juggle so many different things. You're trying to pursue your career while also balancing motherhood, but I believe that women can do it all. We really can. We also need to give ourselves more credit as women, and know that we are amazing".

When it's just her and Halo, Bailey says they make the most of their time together. "We love going for walks, hikes, and just being in nature," she added.
