Faridabad, April 2 Haryanvi actress Anjali Raghav withdrew her allegations against Bhojpuri actor-singer Pawan Singh before the Haryana State Women's Commission, officials said, but his social media team remains under scrutiny.
Singh did not appear before the Commission, while Raghav was present during the hearing conducted by Chairperson Renu Bhatia at Sector 12, Faridabad.
Raghav said she no longer wished to pursue the case against Singh, who had earlier publicly apologised to her on social media. She, however, alleged that members of Singh's social media team circulated her videos and photos in a misleading manner after an incident during a stage show in Lucknow last year.
She also claimed that her mobile number and images were posted on pornographic websites, causing her mental distress.
Raghav named three members of Singh's social media team, including Bhiwanshu and Akash, and demanded strict action against them. After hearing her statement, Chairperson Bhatia removed Singh's name from the case, but the three team members have been included and will have to respond to the Commission.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 6 in Panchkula, and all those named in the case have been directed to appear in person, officials said.
The incident dates back to August last year when a video of Singh placing his hand on Raghav’s waist during a stage show in Lucknow surfaced online, triggering criticism and online trolling.
Singh later issued a public apology, but the matter escalated after the alleged misleading circulation of her videos and photos, prompting Raghav to approach the police, cyber cell, and subsequently the Haryana State Women's Commission.
