These include the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Homi Bhabha, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Sangrur, the Regional Spinal Injuries Centre in Sector 70, Mohali, and the Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in Mohali.

These hospitals provide advanced treatment for serious ailments such as cancer, spinal injuries, and liver-related diseases, according to an official statement.

According to the health minister, the decision was taken to ensure better and specialized medical facilities for state employees and pensioners.

In many cases, she said, the treatment of serious diseases requires specialized hospitals, and the empanelment of these institutions will help patients receive timely and better treatment.

In the event of an emergency, disaster, epidemic, or a surge of patients in government hospitals, these empanelled hospitals will provide facilities such as ambulances, ICU/CCU, burn units, wards, beds, and mortuary services as required, the statement said, quoting a spokesperson of the Haryana Health Department.

The Haryana government is continuously working to provide better healthcare facilities to employees, pensioners, and the public, and such initiatives will continue in the future as well, Arti Singh Rao said.
