Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini informed the assembly during the ongoing budget session that the entire amount owed by IDFC First Bank to the Haryana government has been fully disbursed to the accounts of various departments. The bank has deposited ₹556 crore, including approximately ₹22 crore in interest. He stated that the incident primarily involved the bank's Chandigarh branch and occurred with the collusion of middle- and lower-level employees.

Mr. Nayab Singh Saini clarified that the government, in collaboration with the bank, will ensure that anyone involved in this incident, whether a government official or a bank employee, receives the strictest punishment. The Chief Minister stated that today, the country has a strong watchdog in the form of Narendra Modi, under whose leadership the double-engine government is keeping track of every penny of public money. He stated that no culprit will be spared. He stated that this is the hard-earned money of 28 million people of Haryana, and it will be spent solely on their welfare.

The Chief Minister said that a high-level committee headed by the Finance Secretary will determine the accountability of employees and officials. He said that the governance system in Haryana has now completely changed. The time for suppressing corruption files is over.
