New Delhi, March 11 HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company appointed Parthanil Ghosh as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company on Wednesday.
The company's board approved Ghosh's elevation to MD&CEO from Executive Director earlier in the day, HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company said in a statement.
The appointment will be effective from April 16, and is subject to approval from IRDAI and other necessary authorities, it said.
In this new role, he will succeed Anuj Tyagi, it said.
With over three decades of experience in Financial Services & Insurance, Ghosh brings a deep understanding of the local market and more than 16 years of extensive and diverse experience in the general insurance industry across the entire value chain, it said.
He joined the company in 2016 following the merger with L&T General Insurance and has been serving as the Executive Director since May 1, 2025, it added.
