
Bettiah (Bihar) Apr 2 Three people, including a father-son pair, died on Thursday after two motorcycles collided in the West Champaran district of Bihar, police said.
The incident occurred in the Sikta police station area of West Champaran.
The deceased have been identified as Faiyaz and his son Reyaz, both residents of the Kangli police station area of the district.
The third deceased is suspected to be from Nepal, and his identity is yet to be confirmed.
"Around 4:15 pm, two motorcycles traveling in opposite directions crashed into each other in the Sikta police station area here, leaving four people injured," Narkatiaganj SDPO Jay Prakash Singh said.
All four were rushed to GMC Hospital, where three of them succumbed to their injuries during treatment, Singh said.
The fourth person has been referred to Rahmania Medical Centre in Motihari for better treatment, he added.
Singh said that post-mortem examination of the bodies will be conducted at the Government Medical College Hospital.
