Srinagar, February 19: Minister for Health & Medical Education Sakeena Itoo today informed the Legislative Assembly that NTPHC Haripora is already operating in a three-room government building of the Health Department.
She was responding to a question raised by MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali during the Question Hour of the ongoing Budget Session.
Itoo informed the House that any necessary expansion may be considered in the interest of patient care, as and when such a need arises.
She further stated that, for the construction of a building for NTPHC Sumbal, which is currently operating in rented accommodation, the Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal has been requested to identify suitable land.
"As of now, no funds have been sanctioned or proposed for the construction of the NTPHC building, which will be considered after the formal transfer of land free from encumbrances and the phased availability of budgetary resources," she added.
