
March 20, New Delhi – The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized the ‘Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala’ to strengthen HIV response at the district level in Haryana and Delhi, focusing on targeted, data-driven interventions.
A total of 219 districts have been identified for intensified HIV/AIDS efforts, including 11 in Haryana and seven in Delhi. Officials emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to address gaps in the HIV care continuum.
The initiative aims to accelerate progress towards controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2027, with a focus on achieving the 95:95:99 targets, improving treatment linkage, ensuring viral suppression, and enhancing outreach to vulnerable populations.
