Health Sector Under Fire: Israel Strikes in Lebanon.webp

In Lebanon, an Israeli strike on a health center has killed 12 medical workers in the southern part of the city. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said the attack occurred in the village of Burj Qalaouiyah in the Bint Jbeil District, and resulted in the deaths of doctors, paramedics, and nurses who were on duty. The Lebanese Ministry of Health also stated that this was the second attack on the health sector within hours, following another Israeli strike on the southern village of Souaneh, which killed two paramedics when it hit a paramedic center. The ministry condemned the attack and denounced what it called the continued violence against health workers.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has asserted that his organization is prepared for a prolonged confrontation with Israel, as Israeli authorities warned that Lebanon would face increasing economic consequences due to extensive damage to its national infrastructure. In his second televised address since the hostilities began, Qassem described the situation as an existential battle. Earlier, the Israeli military confirmed that it had destroyed a bridge over the Litani River yesterday, which connects the towns of Zrarieh and Tayr Falsay.
