Director of Health Services, Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, conducted an official visit to the Rajouri district to review the functioning of health institutions and assess the quality of healthcare services being provided to the public.
During the visit, a comprehensive review meeting was held at the Community Health Centre in Thanamandi, within the Darhal block. The meeting was attended by the In-charge Medical Officers, members of the Block Management Unit, District Resource Persons, the Block Accounts Manager (BAC), Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs), and nodal officers of various health programmes.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the implementation of National Health Programmes, the evaluation of service delivery indicators, the status of infrastructure, manpower deployment, and the availability of essential drugs. Emphasis was also placed on proper record-keeping and ensuring efficient healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
Dr. Zargar stressed the importance of strengthening healthcare systems, improving service quality, and ensuring accountability at all levels. He directed the concerned officers to promptly address any gaps and work in coordination to enhance patient care across the district.
This visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Directorate to monitor health institutions and ensure the effective implementation of government healthcare initiatives in the region.
