
Reasi, March 7, 2026: The Indian Army conducted a medical patrol in the general area of Ransoo on March 7, 2026, to provide essential healthcare services to the local population residing in remote and border areas. The initiative aimed to extend free medical consultation, basic treatment, and distribution of essential medicines to villagers who have limited access to regular healthcare facilities.
The medical patrol was organized by Army medical personnel to address immediate health concerns and promote awareness regarding preventive healthcare and hygiene practices among the local community. During the program, patients were examined for common ailments and seasonal illnesses, and necessary medicines were provided free of cost.
The medical team also educated villagers on the importance of personal hygiene, sanitation, safe drinking water, balanced nutrition, and timely medical consultation to prevent health complications. Special attention was given to women, children, and elderly individuals to ensure inclusive healthcare support.
A total of 31 beneficiaries, including 14 males, 8 females, and 9 children, received medical assistance during the activity.
The initiative not only addressed immediate healthcare needs but also strengthened mutual trust, cooperation, and goodwill between the Indian Army and the local community. Villagers expressed their appreciation for the timely medical assistance and outreach efforts.
