The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions, potentially escalating to severe heatwave conditions, in Gujarat for today. Similar conditions are expected in Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, and West Rajasthan. The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad for the day. The Met Department stated that thunderstorms accompanied by hail are expected in Himachal Pradesh until tomorrow, while in North Eastern India, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected in Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.
