POONCH, March 16, 2026: Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mandi, Poonch, organized a heritage awareness walk titled "Route to Roots: Journey Back in Time" under the National Education Policy (NEP) to promote experiential learning among students.
Approximately 55 history students participated in the walk from the school to the Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Temple, where they were briefed about the temple's historical and cultural significance and the rich heritage of the Poonch region.
Officials said that such initiatives help students connect classroom learning with real historical sites and will continue in the future to strengthen awareness about local history and culture.
