
Mumbai, April 1 Hero MotoCorp, a two-wheeler manufacturer, announced on Wednesday that it had achieved an 8.84% increase in vehicle dispatches, reaching 598,198 units in March compared to the previous year.
The company had recorded a total of 549,604 units in March 2025.
Retail sales during the reporting months also remained strong, with 542,436 VAHAN registrations (as per VAHAN data, excluding Telangana) as of April 1, indicating a growth of around 24%, the company said.
Noting that demand was driven by the 100-125cc segment, the company stated that the scooter segment experienced double-digit growth.
The ICE scooter segment continued to perform strongly in March, with robust double-digit growth of 24%, supported by a strengthened product portfolio and the expansion of the Glamour and Xtreme motorcycle ranges, Hero MotoCorp said.
Additionally, the sentiment regarding demand improved in rural markets, aided by early festive season trends, the company stated.
Of the total dispatches in March 2025, motorcycle sales increased by 5% to 532,383 units from 506,641 vehicles in the same month of the previous year, while scooter sales grew by 53.18% to 65,815 units compared to 42,963 units in the same period last year.
Also, the total domestic dispatches for March 2025 were seen at 552,505 units compared to 510,086 units in the same month of last year, while exports increased to 45,693 vehicles from 39,518 vehicles in March 2025, according to the company.
For the fiscal year 2025 (April-March period), the total number of vehicles dispatched was 64,68,834 units compared to 58,99,187 vehicles dispatched to the market in FY24, the company said.
The company also stated that its dedicated electric vehicle brand, VIDA, continued its upward growth, with a 154% surge in dispatches in FY25.
Hero MotoCorp said that its global business recorded its highest-ever dispatches with around 16% growth in March 2025, reaching 45,693 units, compared to 39,518 units during the same period last year.
The segment also recorded an all-time high of around 40% dispatch growth in FY25, driven by strong demand for premium portfolio products across motorcycles and scooters in key international markets.
