Prayagraj (UP), April 8 The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday reserved its order in a petition challenging an order by the Sambhal Court rejecting an application seeking the registration of an FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his alleged controversial remarks in 2025.

According to petitioner Simran Gupta, Gandhi allegedly said during the inauguration of the AICC office in 2025: "We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself."

She stated that this remark has caused offense to public sentiment across the country. Gandhi's alleged remark constitutes a seditious and anti-national statement deliberately made with the intent to destabilize the country, she said.

Justice Vikram D Chauhan reserved the order after hearing the counsels of the petitioner and the state government.
