Shandil informed the House that social security pensions are currently being provided to 8,06,846 individuals, including 3,50,002 beneficiaries aged 70 years and above.
Among the pending cases, he said that 19,824 cases pertain to old-age pensions, 4,291 cases are related to pensions for widows, abandoned and single women, and 2,202 cases are linked to relief allowances for the differently abled.
The pending cases will be resolved in a phased manner, he said.
