Himachal Pradesh Farmer Dies Returning from Farm.webp

Bilaspur (HP), February 17 A 42-year-old farmer was killed on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a speeding car while returning from his farm near Seu town on the Shimla-Mataur National Highway in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.

Karam Chand, a resident of Naswal in Seu, was returning home with his cattle when the accident occurred around 6 am. A car coming from Dadhol hit him while he was crossing the highway, police said.

After the impact, the car driver took the injured man to Ghumarwin Hospital. After initial treatment, doctors referred him to AIIMS, Bilaspur, where he died while receiving treatment.

DSP Vishal Verma confirmed the incident and said that the police have conducted a post-mortem examination and handed over the body to the family.

A case has been registered against the car driver, and investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, police said.
