
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 18: Jammu and Kashmir achieved a historic feat by reaching the Ranji Trophy final for the first time in 67 years, defeating two-time champions Bengal by six wickets in the semi-final. Chasing 126, J&K finished at 126/4 in 34.4 overs, with Vanshaj Sharma unbeaten on 43 and Abdul Samad on 30, sharing a crucial 55-run partnership.
Pace bowler Auqib Nabi shone with a nine-wicket match haul, reducing Bengal to 99 in their second innings after they had scored 328 in the first. J&K had posted 302 in their first innings. This victory marks a historic milestone for the team, which first competed in the Ranji Trophy in 1959-60.
