
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to attend the Raising Day parade of the Central Reserve Police Force and lay the foundation stone for the 10th Assam Police Battalion in Guwahati today. This is the first time that the CRPF's annual Raising Day Parade is being held in Assam and the Northeast region.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the Chief Guest at the 87th Raising Day Parade of the Central Reserve Police Force, which will be held at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Stadium in Guwahati. Approximately 1,400 CRPF personnel from eight contingents will participate in the parade, showcasing the force's operational strength, equipment, and readiness.
Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister will lay the foundation stone for a new campus of the 10th Assam Police Battalion at Kachutoli, a nearby area of Guwahati. The battalion is currently operating from Guwahati and will move to the newly constructed premises once construction is complete.
