Honey Singh and Badshah Song Faces Legal Action.webp

Mumbai, April 2 – The Delhi High Court has ordered the removal of rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah's controversial song ‘Volume 1’ from all social media and music streaming platforms.

Justice Kaurav, who personally heard the song in his chambers before passing the order, was reportedly shocked by the "vulgar, obscene, and derogatory" content in the song.

Advocate Rupali Panwar told the media, "This song was sung by Honey Singh and Badshah, although they have been claiming that they did not sing it. In a recent concert held last year, Honey Singh sang two lines of the alleged song, against which we are here. Therefore, the Honorable High Court has issued notice to Respondents No. 5 and 6, Honey Singh and Badshah, and the Honorable High Court is dealing with this matter decisively. We have clearly stated that wherever this song is being published in any form, it must be taken down. The guideline and order issued by the court are quite strict, and he is working to remove the song permanently."

Speaking about the judge's reaction, she said, "See, what he exactly said was that he heard the song in his chambers today, and he was very taken aback by the lyrics and the content. It is still being circulated. The song was released when both singers were not very famous. They sang that song in the very initial years of their careers. But now that they have become celebrities, they should at least admit that they did this, and they should apologize because they have a large fan following, and it is not right."

"They are not setting a good example. As celebrities, they are only enjoying the benefits and fame, but they are not accepting their moral responsibility," she added.
