Honoring Savitribai Phule's Legacy on Her Death Anniversary

Honoring Savitribai Phule's Legacy on Her Death Anniversary.webp

Today, female students and a female teacher paid tribute to Savitribai Phule on the anniversary of her death. She was the first female teacher in India and a remarkable social reformer who dedicated her life to the education of girls and the empowerment of women.

In 1848, she established the first girls' school in Pune, along with Jyotirao Phule, breaking down social barriers and promoting equality in education. Despite strong opposition, she continued her work with courage and determination.

On this day, we honor her legacy and reaffirm our commitment to education, equality, and the empowerment of girls, which continues to inspire institutions like the Government Degree College in Kishtwar and contribute to the growing literacy of girls in the district.

The female students of Kishtwar also expressed their gratitude to the Government of India for launching various schemes aimed at supporting and empowering girls across the country.
