March 19, New Delhi — As the conflict enters its third week, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has once again affirmed that the country's position on the peaceful use of nuclear energy remains unchanged.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Araqchi stated that after the conflict, coastal countries should draft new agreements governing the passage of ships to ensure safe and smooth routes, provided Iranian and regional interests are met.
He further stated that while neighboring countries were concerned by Iran's strike on nearby U.S. military bases, the United States bears full responsibility for the escalation, as it was the U.S. that instigated the conflict and contributed to the region's current turmoil.
