March 13, New Delhi – Iran has allowed ships from certain countries to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi denied that the Islamic Republic is laying mines in the waterway, which remains effectively closed due to the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel.
In an interview, Takht-Ravanchi stated that, from Iran's perspective, countries involved in the aggression should not benefit from safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
