
Hoshiarpur, March 10 Two women, aged 18 and 21, were killed when an oil tanker collided with their scooter on National Highway-44, connecting Jalandhar and Pathankot, in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab on Tuesday, police said.
Ragni (18) and Aanchal (21), both residents of Mukerian, were on their way to attend a wedding when they were entering a service road after refueling at a petrol pump when the oil tanker hit their two-wheeler, police said.
The impact of the collision was so severe that both women died instantly, they said.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
