Srinagar, April 2 Police on Thursday seized a residential house worth Rs 30 lakhs in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

"As part of an intensified campaign against drug trafficking and with the aim of dismantling the financial network of the drug trade, police in the Pulwama district have seized a two-story residential house valued at approximately Rs 30 lakhs, located in Waghama," a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the seized property belongs to Athar Maqbool and was acquired through the proceeds of drug trafficking.

The property was seized and attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, he said, adding that the accused is involved in a case under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Litter.
