
Jaipur, February 27 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development projects worth over Rs 16,680 crore and address a public gathering in Ajmer on Saturday.
Modi is also expected to launch a nationwide campaign for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination for girls aged 14 years.
The initiative aims to prevent cervical cancer, one of the leading causes of cancer-related morbidity among women, and is aimed at safeguarding the long-term health of girls and women across the country.
The prime minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects related to urban development, drinking water supply, roads, irrigation, energy and industrial infrastructure, according to a release.
Modi will inaugurate several national highway projects, including the 4-lane greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur, the 6-lane access-controlled green highway of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, and the 8-lane carriageway of the Delhi-Vadodara Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway.
He will also lay the foundation stone for a 4-lane elevated road in the Jodhpur city and the Malabmori-Mangrol-Baran state highway project in the Baran district, among others.
Modi will lay the foundation stone for the four phases of the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project and the five phases of the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project.
Transmission systems for evacuating power from Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) in Rajasthan will also be inaugurated.
Modi will distribute appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments in the state.
