
Itanagar, March 15 The Assam Rifles organized a humanitarian outreach program on Sunday to distribute artificial limbs in Khonsa, in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Persons with disabilities from the Tirap and Longding districts were identified in coordination with district authorities, and prosthetics were provided, according to an official statement.
The initiative, under "Operation Sadbhavana," aimed to assist individuals with physical disabilities to improve their mobility and quality of life, it said.
"Through such initiatives, the Assam Rifles continues to contribute to the socio-economic upliftment and well-being of the local population in the Tirap district," the statement said.
