Hyderabad Donor Supports Cow Protection Efforts at Tirumala.webp

Tirupati, February 28 A devotee from Hyderabad has donated Rs 1 crore to the TTD's Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust.

The donation cheque was handed over to the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), BR Naidu, at his office in Tirumala.

"A devotee from Hyderabad, Rachamallu Venkata Sujitha, donated Rs 1 crore to the TTD's Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust," a press release from the temple body on Friday stated.

The SV Gosamrakshana Trust was established to protect cows and emphasize their spiritual and economic importance.

Every donation to the Gosamrakshana Trust is matched by an equal contribution from the temple body to ensure its self-sufficiency.

TTD is the official custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati.
