
April 04, New Delhi - The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, hosted a key industry interaction on the pharmaceutical sector on Friday in Hyderabad, Telangana, as part of the ‘Chintan Shivir’ initiative.
During the event, Director General K. Raja Bhanu highlighted the resilience of India’s pharmaceutical industry, emphasizing its steady growth despite global challenges.
A press conference was also held, at which Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary in the Department of Commerce, underscored the importance of sustaining the $60 billion Indian pharma sector’s growth. He stressed India’s need to maintain its leadership in global pharmaceutical exports while navigating emerging opportunities and challenges.
The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for further strengthening India’s position as a global pharmaceutical hub.
